Hello! My name is Alessandra Farina.  I work in acrylics on canvas. I am an abstract expressionist painter. My work is based off realism yet doesn’t rely on it. I work with light as color; I work with color as I do my moods. I see my art as a simplistic use of upbeat graphic elements developing moody color fields.

I have a BFA in Art Direction from Pratt Institute, School of Art and Design, Brooklyn, NY. I have worked in advertising and the graphic design field in NY and NJ. Most recently, exhibited at the County College of Morris with the Art Association of Roxbury; the Lana Santorelli Gallery in Hoboken, NJ, June 30- September 22, 2012 in the New Jersey Artists show. I have had two solo shows at Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ, 1997 and the Gene Feller Studio &Gallery, Expressions in Color, Hackettstown, NJ, 2000.
